I highly liked the freedom I had in choosing my own courses. Furthermore, I appreciate the opportunity to distinguish between all the different psychological paths early on in your university career. This made it more possible for me to go into depth in my own path, Clinical Psychology. However, I would also make an distinction between students who want to persue research and students who do not. Now, it is mandatory for each student to take a lot of (hard) statistics courses etc, when they will not use it more often in their career. Ofcourse, a bit of knowledge is necessary for understanding academic papers and writing your own thesis etc. But just a bit of background would also be sufficient.
