My current MSc Neuropsychology programme at Utrecht University (UU) is an intensive, one year, hands-on focused Master’s programme. With each passing week, I am pleasantly surprised with the content of the lectures, the expertise and compassion of the professors, and the practical experiences that are offered. I love that the content is so highly specialized in the field of neuropsychology, and I find myself deeply immersed in the learning in an area that I am so passionate about. A unique feature of this programme at UU is the practical, professional, hands-on experiences you are met with. As a student, you delve into a three month thesis project as well as a six month clinical or research-based internship. These experiences allow for invaluable work experience to be gained, better preparing you for a future job in the field. I believe a Master’s at UU is a fantastic choice for these reasons, along with the obvious beauty of the city you will get to live in as an added bonus. The only downfall I see with Utrecht University is the difficulty in finding accommodation in Utrecht or surrounding areas. If you are lucky enough to find accommodation, it happens to be incredibly over your budget to be paying each month as a student.
