Studying healthcare at the University of Applied Sciences Utrecht was always my dream. The program’s focus on hands-on learning was a standout feature – from early clinical placements to simulations in the state-of-the-art medical labs. The professors were approachable and brought real-world experience to the classroom, which enriched the learning process. What I truly appreciated was the focus on interdisciplinary collaboration; we often worked with students from nursing, physiotherapy, and social work programs to tackle complex healthcare cases. Utrecht as a city is incredibly bike-friendly, and cycling to campus every day was a refreshing experience. The university offers many extracurricular activities, and I joined a mental health advocacy group that helped me grow personally and professionally. While the course load was demanding, the practical skills I gained made it worth the effort. If you’re looking for an education that prepares you for the realities of healthcare, HU is an excellent choice.
