Globalisation strengthens the connection between companies from all over the world. It is time people understand the importance of international business.
International business degrees are shaped to give students practical knowledge about different business management practices from all over the world. In addition, candidates are prepared for business careers abroad or in organisations that are engaged in business on a global scale.
Moreover, international business is vital in order to understand different cultures and mindsets and ultimately become a global citizen.
A degree in International Business prepares you for a job in a culturally diverse business environment, which means that any graduate can benefit from opportunities in any country.
The advantage of an International Business course is that you are highly employable for most industries since the majority of skills acquired are transferable.
Candidates studying international business will also gain information and insight about the difficulties of starting and growing businesses from different countries, something which is of utmost importance for anyone who wants to make their business thrive.
International Business is usually a three-year commitment, depending on each university. Lately, there are institutions which offer the possibility of having a ‘sandwich course’, which basically enables the candidates to work abroad for one year in the industry, as part of their studies.
The purpose of the ‘sandwich course’ is to encourage students to step outside their comfort zone and work in a different culture and environment. In this way, they will understand other mentalities, as well as gain relevant working experience in the field.
I enjoyed many courses that Tilburg University offers to its students. I am studying International Business Administration and so far (done with 2 out of 3 years) I loved the most marketing, operation management and project management. The teaches of these 3 courses also were always available for a feedback and gave some interesting insights when student reached out to them. Overall (also with other courses offered) – I have a feeling I can ask any question I have and the lecturers will do their best to explain the concept/any other question you might have.

View moreI have been studying here for almost a month and I already have an opinion about this university! I came here because of the university’s high ratings and, because Netherlands is known for it’s high educational level and stable economic situation!
So far university hasn’t failed me and is upon its standards. I really love the ideology of university, that provides qualitative time at university and also does not overload students with home works and gives time to do something else, not just studies (part-time job, sports, associations, etc).
Outside studies there were critical situation with accommodations, because there were huge amount of students that came here without place to stay. This is question that university needs to consider and make improvements (accept less students or make some student apartments).
Also I am not in awe about all professors, but i think it depends on people and you can’t get everyone’s affection, main point is to give value to our knowledge!
I love environment in this school and can’t wait for everything that is expected in the future!
First of all, TiU is the living heart of the city, which adds value to the first. But most importantly it has an incredible set of master programs. I came to TiU because it was listed by the FT as one of the most innovative in the field of Law. Indeed, it matched my expectations. The IBL master has both traditional subjects and out-of-the-box ones, given that the first is ancillary to the second. Also, conditions are great.
