I strongly recommend this university because it is one of the best The Netherlands. It offers a huge variety of degrees, international programs to study abroad, experts in research, job opportunities, activities, huge varieties of programs etc. It also should encourage us the good level of the students in this university, making the environment competitive and pleasant to learn. As a downside, I think the quality of teaching can be improved in some courses to put the teaching part at the same level as the research part.
View moreThe campus is quite large, but not too large. The staff and students are very international, I feel like the education is at a very high level and it’s an enjoyable place to be with many of the buildings being modern with a lot of light. I’m in a smaller class with 30 persons and I think it really is a great University to do a Master’s at.
View moreStudying at Erasmus University for almost a year now has given me a plethora of invaluable experiences. I would recommend the Management of International Social Challenges programme to anyone who is interested in current affairs and desires to contribute a positive change one way or another.
I wish our readings included more POC authors, lgbtq perspectives and was more outside of the Eurocentric, westernized scope. The students are welcoming and the members of faculty are as well.
The study can be challenging at times for a number of reasons. Firstly, we have finals every 4,5 weeks and we also have less time off than most other dutch universities. In addition, apart from exceptions due to covid, all students are expected to pass all first year courses. Finally, both an advantage and a challenge at the same time, the courses multidisciplinary approach offers a complex and (to a point) complete view of the topics that will be studied. At times this can be off-putting at certain blocks and a lot of extra work might be required. However, after the studies come to an end there is a large variety of paths one can follow.
I would recommend the Management of International Social Challenges.
Ps1.EUR is indeed a challenging university and hard work is a requirement
Ps2. There is no student accommodation offered by the university
you can find a list though of the institutions that cooperate with Erasmus on their main page
Ps3. Rotterdam is a very quiet city with many things to do. It is vastly different from other cities. Travelling from city to city is so simple you can still visit most other cities in one or two hours
Ps4. So much more to write about, hope my review is helpful
I applied to ERSM for my master’s program after my bachelor in the United Kingdom. Overall, I am happy about my choice. The university by itself provides all variety of support for students. I was extremely satisfied with all the networking and career-oriented events.
View moreIHS is a wonderful school with down to earth and specialised faculty in housing and urban development. The short courses are very organised and make sure your time is managed effectively. The style of education in Europe I found was very practice and less theoretic which I really appreciate.
View moreI like friendly atmosphere and helping faculty and staff. My department of IHS is known to be the best place to study Urban Management systems. It is one of the pioneers and most prestigious institute where students from developing countries can learn and explore new strategies about urban designs and systems.
