I had dreamed about studying at this specific university since when I was 14 years old and fortunately, I made it all true. Now, I’ve been studying at this university for almost 5 months and I can see everything going on here. I genuinely love how our studying is flexible because we can study as we want to and if you don’t want to study you can either study later or you can just fail. Campus definitely has a great atmosphere as it is full of international students from different backgrounds being united at the same place. The studies mostly depend on the student themselves, so if you are not a good self-learner it might not be a good idea for you to come study at Erasmus University Rotterdam.

Erasmus University offers a rich, multicultural environment, uniting students from across the globe in a diverse academic community. The courses are highly challenging, fostering both intellectual growth and personal resilience, with a strong focus on applying critical thinking to real-world scenarios. However, one downside is that lectures are limited to a set number of students, which can make it difficult to secure a spot in certain classes. Despite this, I highly recommend Erasmus for its rigorous academics and exposure to global perspectives, offering a truly rewarding educational experience.

The modern facilities, vibrant atmosphere, and diverse community create an environment that encourages growth and collaboration. Rotterdam is a high paced melting pot of different cultures in the Netherlands. This is also evident within the university since it is an amazing place filled with people from around the world. The campus itself is clean and green which is always great for enjoying the time after classes. The experimental lab for research was well equipped, clean, and quiet. The programme itself was interesting, but was not as challenging as it could be. There were professors with great knowledge and ability, but the content of some courses lacked depth. There is also potential for improving the real life application of the knowledge gathered within the programme. Unlike some other universities, Dutch language courses are not free of charge for students which is a negative. On the other hand, there is a great deal of opportunity for motivated students to develop themselves academically, great facilities for research, great campus, and overall amazing people.

The PBL program is well organized and stimulating the content of the course is interesting but sometimes not relevant/outdated. Working in small groups is an innovative way to meet new people and everyone has a chance to participate in the discussion. The university itself is well organized and modern and provides us with good learning resources and spaces. The support staff of the university is also more than willing to offer help for students in need which I have appreciated on several occasions.

The best part of the program is the problem based learning approach which motivates students to participate in discussions related to the course topics. Teachers are nice and helpful but they could give more information when answering questions less related to the study material eg about exams or essay structures. Study materials are interesting and working in groups of around 15 students is good because there is time during the tutorial for each student to ask whatever they want to know. Students come from all over the world so the atmosphere is quite international.

The International Psychology Bachelor is a really well-structured program. With the PBL method, you get the best understanding of the material. The university experience as a whole is great and it’s much better than I actually expected!

I appreciate the education level, the knowledge is practical and can be applied to real life. The courses prepare us for real work and make us think logically to make connections between topics. What I am not fully satisfied with is organisation. We get our schedules 3 days before the start of the new block. What is more, the statistics block is not organised in a friendly manner so far – there is not enough help from qualified tutors.
