I would not recommend Han to any international student who wants to be well equipped for the work place. In my 4 years I only had one teachers who had any desire to teach. Many had no work experience in the field and others would read off of slide shows they had clearly never seen before or had been poorly translated from Dutch to English. I had many times in which I asked a teacher specifics of an assignment and to explain the assignment to them as if they hadn’t heard of it before. They moved my study from the Nijmegen campus to the Arnhem campus claiming they had “built a wing for us” however the wing was very much under construction for the first year there any many classrooms had no power/heating and the sound of on-going construction disrupted classes. Additionally there were almost no study spaces and I often had to move spots many times or LEAVE campus in order to find somewhere to work.
I countlessly asked for help from teachers and was often put to blame. I once had a teacher refuse to allow me to participate in an exam and when I brought it up with a study coach she claimed he was “out spoken” and that this situation is my fault… she then proceeded to admit that he had anger issues and had acted out but it is still my fault. I would recommend this school to someone who wants to waste years or their life and thousands of euros.
The lesson materials we are receiving are quite interesting in regards to the course. We are learning about global issues and how to handle encountering different cultures as international social workers.
