The website is great, it’s very informative. There’s a lot of help from the school to students wanting to learn more about their study or about different studies or different growth opportunities for our future.
The communication via Brightspace is good but could improve. There have been many many technical difficulties and mistakes made by the school, with grades not appearing, messages not received which causes great confusion and miscommunication between the students and the professors.
The professors are nice and teach well. Sadly I have experienced a teacher which had zero to little experience teaching. Unable to teach anything every student failed that class that semester.
– Class schedules are fine in principle. The honors program is taken into account and there is little waiting time everywhere between classes.
– Regarding the quality of teachers, this varies greatly from teacher to teacher. This is mainly due to the passion that a teacher conveys and to what extent the teacher is able to convey this to the student. Everywhere I thought that most teachers did well.
– The exams were usually quite late in the day, which gave me the opportunity to study all day, which I experienced as pleasant.
– in terms of location and accessibility, the location was easily accessible by public transport, which was the turning point for me to opt for the UVA.
I studied accounting at uni. The study itself was good preparation for my career. The books and exams gave a good impression of the actual business I ended up in. The classrooms were however very large and therefore unpleasant and disturbing for people that actually wanted to pay attention to the class. The teaching staff was great. Most of them were actual accountants, so they have knowledge and years of experience. The housing provided by the university is really good, as they are right beside the faculties. The prices are a bit too high though.
