What is an Accounting & Finance degree?
An Accounting & Finance degree focuses on the management of monetary resources available to an organization. Such a degree is aimed at students who want to pursue careers in investment analysis, management, banking, auditing, consulting and financial management. It teaches students how to assess the assets and liabilities of an organization financially and manage the financial risk of their activity.
Accounting & Finance covers the core areas of financial accounting, management accounting and finance but also includes other aspects of the business activity, such as financial management and control, corporate finance, company accounts, investment and business law. Accounting & Finance Degree Structure
An Accounting & Finance degree’s duration varies depending on the country and degree level. In some countries, such as the United Kingdom, Bachelor’s degrees in Accounting & Finance can be completed in three years. However, universities also offer students the option to take a sandwich course, which allows them to undertake a year-long placement between their second and third year, which extends the course to four years. Four years is the regular time of completion of this degree in other countries, such as the United States.
The first year of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting & Finance introduces the core principles of accounting and finance, including financial accounting, management accounting and finance as well as economics and business law. The second year’s focus is usually on managerial and business economics, financial control, corporate finance and company accounts, but optional modules might enable students to pursue their interests in other aspects of Accounting & Finance such as auditing or strategic business analysis. At this point, students studying at Higher Education Institutions in the UK could choose to take an industry placement in order to apply the theoretical concepts and the acquired knowledge to practice in the professional environment. MPhil degrees in Accounting & Finance in the UK usually take 12 months if it is studied full-time and 24 months for part-time studies. PhD degrees in the UK, on the other hand, take about 36 months to complete if studying full-time and 72 months for a part-time program. In the US, students may be required to dedicate between 4 and 7 years on their degree.

StudentTWFavorite Alma MaterI think National Chengchi University is a school full of academic depth and humanistic atmosphere, and it has particular advantages in the fields of social sciences, business management, communication and international affairs. The professors are professional and enthusiastic, the course content is diverse and inspiring, and students are encouraged to think critically and learn independently. The campus has a beautiful environment, surrounded by mountains and rivers, and is a suitable place for quiet study.
However, I think there is still room for improvement in practical connection and industrial cooperation. Some courses are relatively theory-oriented, and there are fewer opportunities for practical connection with enterprises. The administrative process can also occasionally feel cumbersome and requires some patience to get used to.
Overall, NCCU is a place suitable for students who love academics and care about social issues. If you can actively seek out external resources, this will be a very rich learning journey.

I think that National Chengchi University is a very distinctive school overall, especially in terms of its solid training in social sciences, business, and international relations. The academic atmosphere is strong, most professors have profound professional knowledge, and are willing to communicate with students and provide guidance. The campus environment is also beautiful, and the geographical location close to the mountains makes the learning atmosphere more peaceful.
However, I think the school still has room for improvement in connecting practice with industry. Some course contents are relatively theoretical, and there could be more opportunities for internships or corporate collaborations. In addition, administrative efficiency can occasionally be a source of frustration, requiring students to have a certain amount of patience to deal with it.
In general, NCCU is a very suitable place for students who like to explore academics and care about social issues, but if you want more workplace connections, you may need to take the initiative to look for opportunities yourself.

Far from the center of Taipei city, air here is very fresh and due to lacated at mountain, the view here is also very beautiful.Besides, the people here are so nice and most of all the professors are kind enough to help students on improving their academic performance.
