It is a very diverse study program. It has a lot of studen associations but also a very serious side wher you learn a lot of things. There are many labs doing super interesting and helpful research. The ideas generated are innovative and a great help for a greater future.
View moreGives you a lot of freedom to descide how you want to do your studies. But nowbody will take care of you if you don’t do your stuff. You don’t have to attend lectures which is good because some professors don’t carr.
View moreMy experience with the university so far was good. The curriculum is very demanding but people know that beforehand. Students have the ability to participate in a few programs to gather practical experience but they are few. So you get out of the programs without much practical knowledge.
View moreIt is okay but a little much work. The work can be a little much unfortunately. But I think the building is very pretty . Especially the Hauptgebäude. Nevertheless I also like the ML HNO HCI NO LFW CLA and LEE
View moreI love my university and the program. It does offer tons of opportunities for different aspects of my future career, like Job Fairs with huge companies or projects by known professors! However we do NOT have any vacation at all. Our exams are in August for the semester that ended in May. It does affect the mental health by a huge amount. Seing my friends in other universities enjoying the summer and me having study is really sad
View moreI studied mechanical engineering and I now have a very broad knowledge in different fields of mechanical engineering. I learned a lot. The school focuses on the reaserch aspects more than practical aspects.
View moreThe course content, the possibilities and opportunities at the university and through industry partners is excellent and shows why this is a leading university. Though the teaching is not very modern and could adapt to new possibilities (only few courses have a more tech oriented and interactive teaching). Also the study life balance is not ideal. A lot of work comes along the semester and with exam in august and february time for personal development is very limited. In worst case students have 2 weeks of holidays at the beginning of september and none in winter (time where no studying should be done). Not only does that not allow to relax from time to time it also does not allow to apply the knowledge in internships throughout your studies, which compared to other leading universities is a huge lack. ETH will have excellent students graduating with barely any work experience.
