Studying at the University of Valencia is a good experience and students can expect lectures and practise sessions at a good academic level. Teachers are usually demanding and give students homework and different types of group projects but they are developing and a bit challenging. The assignments forms and other types of grading are clearly explained in advance. If students have a problem, they can easily contact their lecturer via email and they respond in a very good time manner. Nonetheless, office hours are available too and this is a perfect opportunity to ask any questions and for help.
The only issue I would mention is how The International Office works. As an Erasmus student I couldn’t go to the secretary of my faculty but every issue I had to sort out at the International Office. Sadly, I was not the only student who was trying to switch modules or fill out documents. Thus, the queue and amount of time which I spent waiting for help or reply were extremely long. The communication was not easy either and it would be appreciated to have more instructions or more clear guidance on how to, for example, enrol for subjects.
My campus – Tarongers is located at a perfect point, it’s close to the city centre and there are no issues to find affordable accommodation nearby.
To sum up, I like studying at UV and I feel like I am gaining solid knowledge which will help in my future employment.
