For as young as it is, IEU is rather exceptional. The diversity among students is unparalleled, and there is a healthy emphasis on female leadership, career prospects, and sociability (given increasingly high female composition within the university). While it at times may struggle with bureaucratic oversight, overly ambitious directions that zealously stresses business in all degrees, and some simplistic academic courses that seem highly derivative, most professors provide valuable career and industry insights from their own impressive backgrounds.
Personally, I like the atmosphere provided. The small class sizes at the Segovia Campus are reminiscent of a high school, and allow for many close friendships to foster; the highly diverse student composition likewise pushes students to be generally more accepting of other individuals.
For those then seeking a university that provides a uniquely close but diverse social network and remarkable professional connections and international opportunities, this would be your university. However, this university is not – currently – geared towards highly intense academic rigor.
