A business cannot survive if its products are not marketed in the proper way. Luckily for all the businesses out there, the number of candidates wanting to pursue a marketing career is growing tremendously.
The aim of this degree is to help students anticipate, manage, and satisfy customers’ needs and wants. By doing so, they will be able to effectively communicate the benefits of any business product to the targeted market.
Due to the fact that marketing is a complex industry, which tackles many areas ranging from market research to advertising and promotion, this degree focuses on all parts of the process before concentrating on a particular area of study.
Good news for marketing graduates! If you did not know yet, marketing is an essential aspect of all types of businesses, from all sectors of activity. Thus, all of them rely on marketers to promote and sell their products. A high market demand comes with many job opportunities available.
According to Labor Department Findings, graduates with a marketing degree can earn 98% more per hour than the ones working in the industry without having a specialised degree.
Furthermore, students are equipped with transferable skills, such as excellent communication abilities, strategic thinking, planning, data analysis and so on, that can be used in other industries too.
Marketing degrees can be studied either as Bachelor of Arts (BA) or Bachelor of Science (BSc). The major difference lies in the presence of more scientific and technological aspects, which are commonly seen in a BSc rather than a BA.
Like most degrees, marketing courses last between three and four years, depending on the university. However, there are institutions which give students the possibility to do a two-year associate’s degree – also called a ‘foundation’ degree.
Even if graduating from both degrees qualifies candidates to work in this industry, a Bachelor degree has higher chances to lead you to well-paid jobs.
HTL International School offers a good educational experience, fostering critical thinking and cross-cultural understanding through a diverse and engaging curriculum. The school’s facilities and resources were designed to support its demanding academic standards, and while there was always room for improvement, the school’s commitment to excellence was evident in all aspects of the experience.
View moreMy time at HTL International School was both challenging and enriching. The school’s commitment to academic excellence is evident in its rigorous curriculum and dedicated faculty. I had the opportunity to participate in various extracurricular activities that enriched my university experience. The facilities on campus are generally well maintained, although the sports and recreational facilities could be improved. Overall, HTL is a good choice for those seeking a global education and a diverse student community.
View moreI was satisfied with almost everything. I would prefer more difficult tasks and deep dive information, but if you have never studied in this field this will be good for you.
The teachers and staff did a great job, no complaints about this
I´m quite surprised by seeing the review that say “teacher only read slides” or “teachers make us read slides”. In my case it was completely different.
Yes, there were some slides, but only wih basic definitions (and how do you expect them to appear in your brain without slides?)
Teachers were sharing their experience, explaining the things very well, giving us some tasks and exercises.
Yes, it was three months but I got enough info to start my internship.
Can not say annything now about the language trimester, has only started it, but first two days were fine
This is by far the worst decision I have made… Here are the reasons:
1. The program is supposed to be a one-year master’s program (study load of 270 h total, average of 20h/week supposedly), but ended up being a 2-month “specialization module” (6h total a week 3 days, 2h each) language module 3 months ( hours classes 2 days a week). ?!?!?!
2. The so-called specialization mode has nothing to do with the theme/subject of the master. Instead is a general marketing and customer course for all the courses in the institution. No differentiation.
3. The curriculum for the courses you find online and the one they sent along with the letter of acceptance for the visa has nothing to do with what you actually will be taking.
4. One of the classes is just about reading slide after slide. (For you to have an idea each student reads one slide!!!!!!), slides that were not prepared by the teacher, phrases like: “this data is old or you can check more information by yourselves” were often heard in class.
5. A 4500 euro course that I could have taken for way less online.
6. Final project is presented at the end of the first module or specialization module with no guidance whatsoever.
I’d advise you to think twice before coming to this institution.
View moreI went to this school in 2021 for a Masters. I was deeply disappointed and outraged about this school and here is why:
They offer you only six months of classes: three months for specialization and three months for language, although they claim that it is a “1 academic year intensive professional training program”. The class is only twice a week, two hours per class.
In the certificate of enrollment, it is written that “the course is 720 hours in total, distributed 20 hours a week.”, which is a lie.
The class is basically just reading off the slides and all you learn is just very basic stuff you can read from a book. Definitely not a Master’s level.
Because I felt that the way they teach is unprofessional, I decided to switch to the “specialized online platform” (so they call it) during the language module. However, all they provided was Babbel (a language learning app which you can use for €30 for 3 months)
For the record, the tuition for this ‘one year’ was €4500.
This school is not accredited as a university.
View moreNo proper communication with the students
They don’t keep any of your academic records in their database after 2 years of your course completion which means the course completion certificate they are providing is a total waste
I have learned a very big lesson after I spent my 4000€ with this HTL international school
Useless reception and admin staffs.
Invalid certificate
Waste of money
If you are expecting a university, a business school or something similar, this institution is not the right one. I booked a Master’s programme here for a lot of money and chose the Valencia campus option. After moving to Valencia for the Master’s, I quickly realised that the website promises more than the programme really is. Instead of “one academic year”, it is actually 3 months of language school and 3 months of specialisation (2 times a week for 2 hours). The management also decided that the campuses in Madrid and Valencia would be closed and that we should now either go to Barcelona or do the distance learning programme. There was no communication with the students. This institution is recommended if you have no previous knowledge and want to do some kind of summer course, this institution cannot offer a recognised academic degree.
View moreI’m studying two different masters: Digital Marketing and Events Management. We have a great blended intercampus studies with my classmates from Barcelona, Madrid and Valencia. This way, we can move between the campus. In our classes we do not only theory, but also practical activities in groups or individualy (no matter if you are pressencial or connected from your home), little quizzes that latter we discuss and of course, homework.
I need to emphasize that the home tasks are very differents one from the other and help develope yourself in different things that you learned in class. For example, for Digital Marketing there was one task in which you needed to create a video trying to sell something and other one creating a website design which would attract your target. In Events for example, in one task we needed to create a Fashion Show and in other one create an event and write a letter to the school to ask them to be our sponsor.
In my courses it was also included one term of languages, I chose French. In this course I did theory, exams, oral exams and a lot of creative tasks. My classmates did Spanish or Russian.
I deffinitely recommend this school.
