International Immersion: Transformative Leadership for Future Challenges – Program Review

I had the opportunity to participate in the International Immersion program at EADA Business School, Barcelona, spending a month at the Barcelona campus and an additional week at the Collbató campus. The overall experience was highly enriching and impactful.

The classroom sessions at the Barcelona campus were exceptionally interactive and engaging. The learning environment encouraged open dialogue, collaborative thinking, and the exchange of diverse perspectives among participants from different backgrounds. This significantly enhanced the depth of discussions and contributed to a well-rounded learning experience.

The Collbató campus offered a distinctly immersive environment, combining experiential learning with outdoor activities. This setting complemented the academic sessions by fostering teamwork, reflection, and leadership development in a more informal yet highly effective context.

Overall, the program was a valuable learning journey. While the immediate experience was positive, its true impact has become more evident over time. It has contributed meaningfully to my personal and professional development, particularly in enhancing my leadership perspective, cross-cultural understanding, and ability to navigate complex, real-world challenges.

I enjoyed my time as a student of Sustainable Business and Innovation at EADA Business School, Barcelona. I was constantly engaged in the different courses taught in the programme, our professors were very experienced in their fields and educated us using different modes of teaching. We always had to come prepared with the preparatory readings and having done so, it enriched my understanding of the topics and drove my engagement in class further. The final project which was a real world consultancy project helped me gain exposure to workplace ethics, expectations and working style outside of my home country. The projects took shape through group effort, collaboration and coordination with the company and advice and mentorship from our professors. There is a leadership development module as well which took place over the course of a few months and it was a very tactical sort of training for learning various kinds of soft skills for the professional world. This boosted my professional development, as I joined EADA’s masters programme after having worked for some time and could actually extrapolate what was being taught and think of where in my professional life such skills can come in handy. I got the best from my time in EADA because I put in as much commitment and sincerity in studies and projects, as our professors in teaching us. I chose EADA and the programme because I wanted to navigate corporate sustainability globally and I feel I have left knowing and feeling capable on the topic after having completed the programme and all the requirements.

I think EADA Business School is a solid choice for people who want a practical and international business education, especially in a city like Barcelona. One of the biggest strengths is that the classes are usually very interactive and international, which creates a good atmosphere to learn from people with very different backgrounds. The school also puts quite a lot of emphasis on teamwork, presentations, leadership and practical business cases instead of only theory.

Another positive point is that EADA has a good reputation in Europe and holds strong accreditations like EQUIS and AMBA, while also appearing in Financial Times rankings. Especially for sustainability, the school seems to be investing more and more in ESG and responsible business topics, which fits well with programmes like Sustainable Business
