The university world is very competitive, UJ is one of those university and it makes everything 10 times as hard. You feel like you need to beat your peers to come out victorious. That alone can make you feel like its you against the world , your family is not around, your community s not around except for these new people you just met. The academia is on another level, you are sure you are getting world class education. Its hard but its world class, you are truly empowered when it comes to the actual knowledge and skills you receive.
The group assignments(Audit assignment) were very close to the working world experience and that was very important in preparing us for the real world.
The counseling service is not readily available so they can improve on that, they need to be easily available , when one feel overwhelmed they should be able to go see a professional asap.
But all is all, they gave us the BEST education, developed us mentally , emotionally and intellectually for sure.
