My experience with the University was truly great because of the support it offers. The lecturers explain concepts clearly and structure their modules very well. The tutors are well-trained, relatable, and always willing to help. I also appreciated the wellness platforms, the fun activities that were organised almost every Friday, and the beautiful, well-coordinated graduation ceremonies.
I am genuinely proud to be a UJ alumna. The regalia is beautiful, the graduation setting is respectful, and the overall campus environment feels like home. I even chose to return to further my studies because of how positive my experience was.
Campus life was amazing too, there were job opportunities available for students, and we had the GOG initiative where we received cooked meals during the week. Although it has now shifted to providing groceries for less fortunate students, it still helps to address hunger on campus.
UJ truly felt like a home to me.
