The University of Johannesburg is one of the best educational providers in South Africa in my opinion. With quality education taught by highly qualified lecturers with corresponding industry experience. What I mostly appreciated with my experience at UJ was, the overall support structure provided by the institute which include: academic, career, mental, disability and also peer to peer support (in the form of tutors, mentors, residence advisors). Furthermore, what I enjoyed about my study at UJ was the student opportunities that were offered such as: student jobs, academic scholarships for best performing academics and collaboration with international school to provide exposure. What I disliked about UJ was, the collapse or suspension of residential culture which greatly contributed to discipline and unity of residential students despite diverse backgrounds.
I would definitely recommend UJ as a university of study because of great education, exposure of fourth industrial revolution experience through courses offered aside from academic programmes, campus diversity experience whether it is in Soweto Campus, Auckland Park Bunting Campus, Kingsway Campus and Doornfontein Campus.
Most importantly, the varsity life experience and meeting wonderful people from all walks of life.
