    The Management of Studying

I only have good things to say about the University of South Africa, I completed my Bachelor of Arts in Criminology last year. It was tough to juggle by we had student group for help and our lectures were always available for further clarification if needed. The programme was flexible and matched my schedule when needed.

    Out of the box thinking

The teaching methods at UNISA are a harmonious blend of traditional academic rigor and innovative approaches. You won’t find a monotonous lecture hall experience here. Instead, the classrooms are dynamic spaces that promote interaction and active learning. Professors utilize a mix of multimedia presentations, real-time case studies, and collaborative projects that push students to apply their knowledge practically. The use of digital platforms ensures that learning is not confined to the four walls of a classroom.

Very loose usage of the term "learning"

Among many administration issues, which can usually be solved instantaneously by visiting one of the branches, there is very little collaborative opportunities set up by the University.
For those who thrive on discussion and just hearing the material be deconstructed, UNISA is not the place for you. The “lecturers,” understandly having hundreds of students will take weeks to release assignment marks, no communication between lecturers to students and you may even find yourself writing your exam before receiving your project with it’s feedback.
Feel like you’ve been marked down unfairly or some outside force has made your lecture unable to open your file? Too bad, you’ll only find out AFTER the absolute last possible day they say they are able to take any submissions. Absolutely no compromise for situations outside your hands.
Absolutely god awful admin just ruining any communication apart from going onsite.

Their material covers a wide range of topics and schools of thought (Criminology). Getting a degree there, even as part time studies will set you up with extensive and transferrable working knowledge and skills in the work force. If you can endure their loose use of the term “learning institute.” You must apply yourself. Nobody will do it for you or show you where your mistakes were, it’s a rough environment but it bears results for those willing to do the work. You’d be better off going to a library and watching seminars and webinars but completion in those don’t produce degrees unfortunately.
