If you’re looking for a convenient way to further your studies while working, the University of South Africa is a great institute to consider. With its completely online program, studying becomes much easier. However, the admin side can be a bit slow at times, which may result in unnecessary delays in receiving feedback on assignments and results. Despite this minor inconvenience, UNISA remains a great institute to study at and is definitely worth considering.
View moreI am currently in my second year of study – via correspondence – in a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication Science.
What I love most about my University is that everything is digital and online! I am able to keep a full-time job, while pursuing higher education and at an affordable price. This is golden if you come from a family (or circumstances) that do not allow you to have the money needed or necessary for tuition fees.
Pros of studying through my University are: Independence, Autonomous working inculcated, Independent Thinking, Team Collaboration, Project Management, Good Communication skills developed, No down-time even during the times of COVID-19, which was excellent.
Cons of studying through my University is a lack of student campus and social life. Although my University does offer a physical campus at different locations in the country, as well as exam centres world wide, you still miss out on the fun aspects of being a student – so no freshers, no open days, no orientation etc.
