This university is all about making profit and does not care about students. I won’t recommend it to anyone! We struggle with everything on top of that we have a bad SRC making things hard for students by not supporting them.

View moreThe FYI buddies at the nelson mandela University are very helpful and they always assist first year students with a smile. They are very good at assisting students with getting to know each other.I love the idea of having people that educate you about the University experience. I am still yet to find out if I will enjoy the experience. There is a lecturer that’s a bit weird ( weird in a good way),I am 1000% sure that I will enjoy his lectures .The library has many resources.
View moreNelson Mandela University provided a transformative and inclusive learning experience. As an adult, married woman with children, I found the institution to be highly supportive of students from diverse backgrounds. The university’s emphasis on practical learning, particularly through the practicum programs in social work, allowed me to engage directly with community challenges and apply theoretical knowledge to real-world social issues.
I appreciated the university’s commitment to diversity and inclusion, especially its focus on accessibility for students with disabilities. The faculty were knowledgeable and approachable, and the resources available to students, such as counseling services and academic support, were invaluable in balancing my studies with personal responsibilities. My time at Nelson Mandela University not only deepened my expertise but also strengthened my passion for social change.
View moreThe programme I am completing is a good one to be specific. The university does an exceptional job at teaching and also finding duplicates when emergencies arrive if they can’t do contact lessons. The university has also shaped me into a different person , a one that likes to help people and one that is very confident and hard working. The programmme has also taught me alot and has made me a completely different than I was before.
View moreI enjoyed my time at Nelson Mandela University. I was on South Campus which was walking distance away from the beach. I enjoyed being at a coastal campus and the student life was quite fun with many events and musicians visiting. I felt the university had good resources to help practically understand my course and the free counselling services were also helpful and easy to access
View moreThe University is fairly good. Not only does it focus on the academic prosperity of the students but also their mental health. The community is united and lives in harmony even with the diverse cultural and religious beliefs. It is located in a nice quiet environment with a nature reserve of it’s own.
