The one thing I love the most about Nelson Mandela University is that it is situated in a coastal area. That means you get enjoy a beach day everyday. Amazing, right?! Well being honest, I love the historical theory of university, the diversity, how different faculties are in different campuses and I like the unity of students. However, I do not like the ignorance of management. It’s really something that needs to be fixed, students should always come first. Literally, should be the motive of every university. Also, I feel like there is so much difference between the campuses, it’s unsettling for me. I believe in fairness, for example if the one campus has an ATM or a special statue, then every campus should too. With NMU, the aesthetic fairness is not there. Either than that, it’s really a great campus situated in a great place. Besides the flaws, you will LOVE the university life and actually learn to live with its flaws.
I am a 3rd year student in Public Management at the Second Avenue campus, which is not so aesthetic. But, I am learning to live with it. The only good thing about it is that it’s a small campus, therefore great for antisocial beings like me. Also, the cafeteria has the best fries! Back to my course, I’m basically aspiring to be a government worker. Lol, not only that, I am aspiring to create a better South Africa.
