Beyond academics, my university has played a pivotal role in shaping my personal and professional growth. The vibrant student community, engaging clubs, and leadership opportunities have allowed me to develop invaluable life skills. The friendships and networks I’ve built here are just as valuable as my degree. This isn’t just an institution—it’s a transformative experience.
View moreThis university boasts a long-standing reputation for academic excellence and groundbreaking research. However, some traditional teaching methods feel outdated in today’s fast-paced, tech-driven world. While there are efforts to incorporate modern tools and digital learning, change is slow. If you are someone who values legacy and prestige, this is an excellent choice, but if you seek a highly innovative environment, you may feel constrained.
View moreThe activities that were done today were very exciting. Everything was good and everyone enjoyed the trail. The for Bot Penny was hilarious it was a nice trail because of her,she made exciting and interesting at the same time
View moreI like the fact that I was welcomed with open arms and made to feel like I was appreciated and cared about. I felt like I was part of the family, and the ice breaker helped a lot. I managed to open up and communicate with others.
View moreAttending the First-Year Student Thrive Session at Nelson Mandela University was a fantastic way to start my university journey. The session was well-organized and provided valuable insights on how to navigate student life effectively. The presenters were engaging and offered practical advice on time management, academic success, and campus resources. It was also a great opportunity to meet other first-year students and build connections. I would highly recommend this session to new students as it sets a strong foundation for a successful university experience.

View moreThe University is a very good place. The statues and sculptures give it more dignity. The lecturers were welcoming and nice. The library and the lecture rooms are so clean and tidy. The fact that it is located in a nature reserve area is a great thing for me.
View moreIt was very informative but the information was given in very large quantities with not many breaks however it was very helpful and informative on the resources available as well as different perspectives from the FYS buddies on how to survive varsity life though I would’ve loved a bit more advise on how to adjust to the new environment and a bit more context on the level of difficulty to expect, and what would be the most challenging as well as how to combat that overall it was really nice.
View moreI think it’s a very good university, I would definitely recommend it to other people! The main thing that stood out to me was the diversity in students and lecturers, it really prepares you for when you’re in the workplace one day. I love the diversity because it gives us a chance to learn to communicate with other people from different ethnicity and cultures.
