The university has great modern facilities for the many different courses. The entire layout and design of the university (Auckland Park) is also among the best in the continent. As a student you typically won’t run short of resources to study and complete your goals.
The downsides to the university is that it does not have a lot of popular stores/shops at the student’s disposal at their “Student center”, only niche stores that charge premium prices as the students would not have any other choice. Additionally, the older faculty officers and receptionists (especially the faculty of Science) are always hostile towards students who are desperate and in need. Lastly, if you fail a module, you will have to redo it the following year, but that following year there’s also a high chance the faculty will tell you that module you are repeating is clashing with another current module, thus you can’t register for it and you have to sacrifice one module to do the next year again. Their timetables do not accommodate repeating students, almost as if they are discouraging repeating students to quit/give up.
But overall still great, with exceptional lecturers. This is from the perspective of a science student, other faculty students may have different experiences.
