I absolutely loved my time at UCT however, I was Head of House for a residence, and an RA for exchange students when Fees Must Fall happened… ja. It was fine whilst there were peaceful protests… but, then mob mentality steps in.

I was with a whole bunch of American students when the first stun grenades went off… the police had to use stun grenades on the students… that is how violent students were.

Then, I graduated with a Masters several years later. ja, it was tough!! Beautiful campus. Dangerous.
