Good but overwhelming learning journey

Studying Architectural Engineering at the University of France Marin was an exhaustive and demanding experience. The instructors were very rigorous, shaping our knowledge in the field by pushing us to our limits. However, the program required a significant amount of self-directed research, which often left students feeling overwhelmed and unsupported.

In the architectural design studios, classes were often more about fun and creative exploration rather than providing solid knowledge about design principles. This lack of structured, foundational teaching sometimes left us unprepared for real-world design challenges.

Despite these challenges, the university environment was good and welcoming. The student body was considered among the best, creating a stimulating academic atmosphere. Additionally, the university’s resources, including its libraries and technology, were top-notch and contributed positively to the overall experience. However, the heavy reliance on self-research and the sometimes informal approach to design education were significant drawbacks in the program.
