ITMO University (reviews)

The ITMO University, established in 1900 is currently administered by the Rector – Vladimir Vasilyev. The university currently has an approximate count of 2400 staff members who are guiding and educating 12000 students from local and international locations. The ITMO University is said to be one of the best universities to study in Russia especially because it is one of the participants in the Russian Academic Excellence, which is a group that is supported by the Russian government that aims to provide a high quality of education to students to equip them in the global market.
The ITMO University is mostly focused on Information and Photonic technologies. They currently have 18 departments that have received multiple awards from the government in Russia.

Through the years, the ITMO University have used various names. The ‘ITMO University’ is the current name since 2014. But before that, some of the names that have been used were Saint Petersburg Institute of Fine Mechanics and Optics, Saint Petersburg State University of Information Technologies, Mechanics and Optics, and the National Research University ITMO.Show more
