It was difficult, but extremely interesting. Would I like to repeat this? Probably still not. But the amount of knowledge in all subjects is really impressive (and hooray, it was needed at work, all the torment is not in vain). I would also like to note the fact that due to the fact that the program was small, there was a feeling of a family (which was also facilitated by the study office). Moreover, thanks to the university, I got my first job. Thanks 🙂
View moreThis program was ideal for combining full-time work and studying. There were a lot of useful subjects, the knowledge that was received was easily brought to life. A lot of activities like business games, lectures with special guests etc.
View moreSome professors are highly-qualified, most courses are useful, and there is a possibility to choose any extra discipline you are interested in. Each student has a chance to participate in mobility programs abroad.
View moreAdvantages:

I entered the National Research University Higher School of Economics in 2017, and studied in the educational program “International Relations”, the faculty of “World Economy and World Politics”. It was a very difficult 4 years of my life, after defending my diploma, it was as if the yoke fell from my neck. Among the positive – a decent number of hours devoted to the study of foreign languages. Everything else on this program is either outdated, or no one needs it or repeated several times. The load was quite intense, but the results were not worth it. Often there was a feeling that you were working just like that, without gaining useful knowledge. Perhaps the point is in the program and its theoretical bias, from the practical one, can only learn the ability to write texts – more, in fact, you will not be taught anything. About a third of the students dropped out or were expelled, none of the familiar classmates liked the program, and everyone dreamed of graduation day. There were good teachers who sincerely wanted to teach us something, but there were also those who imagined themselves to be a star, whose level students a priori had to correspond to. Although this, I think, is found in all programs.
Summing up, I can say that I am not going to work by profession. Those who continued their education further in this area are also not many (however, there are such people). The Higher School of Economics is a good (by Russian standards) university, I have many friends who study there in other programs. However, the program “International Relations” left behind only a bitter aftertaste and 4 wasted years.
I’ve been studying there for nearly 3 years and I feel that I gained a lot of fundamental knowledge of literary history, foreign languages, and cultural aspects of many types of art. I really love this program and I’m thankful for being a student here. professors developed my genuine interest in the French language — thanks to our French syllabus I’m considering now moving to a French-speaking country. I love our profs as they’re truly talented and capable of making you interested in the topic we are discussing. well, it can be hard sometimes. the more you study here the more you become confident in your strength. this is a great fundamental program in humanities but before you apply you should really consider WHY you need this education as the lack of motivation to decrease your grades and desire to live
View moreIf you are looking for a school providing international opportunities, the Higher School of Economics is the best choice for you. This aspect was significant for me since I want to continue my education abroad. Having a lot of agreements with universities in other countries, HSE offers a range of exchange programmes, sometimes with full funding. Also, at the end of your studies, you are going to receive a European supplement to your diploma, which makes your application to an overseas university or a job much easier.
View moreAn excellent university, where talented, competent, creative experts teach. High motivation of fellow students also contributes to the development of a large number of competencies needed in the modern world (data analysis, presentation skills, the ability to reach a compromise, achieving highly targeted results)
View moreI would highly recommend this university because i really appreciate the level of social networking. You can really meet&greet future businesses partners and true friends. Secondly, this place is worth applying, because of the education. If you need complex knowledge on almost every field you should study in there.
View moreI have completed my bachelor’s degree in another Russian university, that’s why I can compare Higher School of Economics with another university in our country. In HSE University the students are treated as colleagues, and everyone’s opinion is important here. The professors are very competent in their knowledge and they organize fascinating classes, which inspire me to learn more. In addition to the academic life, the student organization constantly organizes great events where you can meet new people and have a good time. I definitely recommend HSE as a university to enrol in!
