Great place for getting not only theoretical knowledge but also soft skills. There were a lot of group projects, collaboration with business, and possibilities to learn more about real companies or even go and study abroad.

The ecology program was chosen by chance, but, fortunately, I never regretted entering. I can’t say that the lectures are incredibly interesting, but I found a couple of subjects quite fascinating. The classmates were very good, you can always find something to talk about with them (in this case, if you enter the program according to your desires, there will always be like-minded people). Unfortunately, hostels are located far from the city if you do not enter as foreign students or taking into account Olympiads in specialized subjects. I can note that St Petersburg University is indeed in cooperation with other universities, including foreign ones. This allows you to study in European and Asian countries, which I can personally confirm.

If you are looking for programming, this is not for you. Personally, I came across strange teachers in three courses specifically in programming. I had to do everything myself. Mathematics was given as a base, I liked everything. I especially remember mathematical analysis and probabilistic-statistical analysis, there were cool teachers)

This university is one of the best in Russia. SPbU gives the students a lot of opportunities for realization students’ Projects and abilities.
The University justly holds a high position in the international rankings. There are a lot of possibilities for participating in international events, conferences and student exchanges. The professors are supportive and encouraging.

This university is inferior to all in terms of the quality of education.
Teachers at the university like the quality of teaching at altitude.
Entertainment is quite a lot, such as free Wi-fi, entertainment area.
There is a hostel, the conditions are also good.
I had no bad moments.
There were a lot of pleasant moments, from various events to the holidays.
I recommend this university to all future students.

Good afternoon. I want to tell you that the 1-2 course of study at the university were difficult. A lot was new and not understandable. At first it was necessary to work on your rating, there was eternal competition between the students. At first there was no understanding of why I was suffering and was wasting all my strength. On the 3rd course it was much better, I already understood why I came here and why I’m studying here. Thanks to friends I found a job in summer and was able to pass a summer internship in a large company. All the professors who taught us I liked, learned a lot from them and also learned. From entertainment to me for good study, the University provided the training and recreation base Horizon, where you could have a good time, gain strength, and find many new friends. I personally like it that the university gives such an opportunity to relax the students, from the shortcomings I think that not all students can take advantage of this. Who thinks now to enter this university or not, I will say unambiguously yes. The university is very good and gives good knowledge that will help you in the future.

Do not recommend doing it. The quality of education does not correspond to the declared “high” status of St. Petersburg State University and the cost of tuition. The requirements of the university and teachers are high and ineluctable, changing from day to day and are often corrected on the eve of examinations / tests / graduation, etc. During the session, stress goes on all fronts, students do not stand the strain and break (go on academic holidays, take away documents, and those who remain – suffer from nervous exhaustion and undermine health).

To me, all in all, SPbSU is probably the best Russian university.
One of the greatest pluses is the bilingual (Russian and English) diploma, which is recognised worldwide. Students also benefit from international exchange opprotunities (on- and outgoing).
There are several campuses, some of which are situated really far from each other. Unfortunately, a number of buildings is not in the best condition. At times, the structure of the university tends to be confusing.
