Strong old-school mechanics and week modern tech

The university’s digital infrastructure is out dated. Students rely on ready-made CAD software, completely losing their engineering intuition. They can click buttons in a program, but they fail to understand the actual physics behind the digital models. On top of that, the university’s online platforms and servers are inherently fragile, regularly glitching and disrupting the educational process. Technology here has become a cheap substitute for deep learning, producing graduates with shallow analytical skills. At the same time, the traditional “old-school” method has degenerated into rigid, outdated bureaucracy. Forcing students to spend weeks on tedious, manual routine and hand-drawn layouts is ineffective. The global engineering industry automated these processes decades ago. This is not “building discipline” – it is a stubborn waste of time and energy that should be directed toward actual modern engineering challenges. Both sides are failing. One side offers a glitchy digital illusion, while the other clings to an obsolete past.
