My first year was excellent there, there are a lot of friends you can make and the professors really do help us. I remember going to class and joking about random things with them. The exams are pretty simple because you learn from the class, you don’t need pretty much anything when you have people like these around you.

The proposed subjects are quite good and there are a lot of interesting extra-activities but a student only has enough time to study for an exam he already knows he will fail, because the wonderful teacher decided to change subjects with ones that are not covered by what he has taught, so in order to finish the Politechnica University of Bucharest you already need to have finished any university like MIT, Stanford or Harvard, everything else in the eyes of Bucharest teachers is worthless.

During this period, most teachers managed to successfully pass to the online environment. However, they consider that partial exams are a speed contest because we have the materials with us. If for you it matters to understand something, you can say that they failed on what a teacher means.

The Polytechnic University of Bucharest is suitable for those who want to develop both personally and professionally; it is the institution with a campus where it is easy to get lost, but you don’t get bored; is the place where I made friends from the first week and where I found a variety of possibilities I did not expect: student associations, job fairs, company presentations, workshop and training events, but also dedicated events entertainment, such as film nights organized by associations, the festival and occasional parties.

It is also a place that offers career guidance, some teachers are also involved in projects for students (technical visits, competitions, etc.), Erasmus mobility and, contrary to public opinion, enough time for passions and socialization.

Challenging, but it shapes you as a person. Teachers can be demanding sometimes and you might be overwhelmed with assignmets often, but if pay attention and do the minimum you have to do, you have a decent chance of passing every discipline.

It’s pretty decent but we could have better conditions regarding dormitory because a lot of them are old. Also, most of the teachers are old and use old methods when teaching and you can’t really learn.

We are learning lots of things theoretically but we should make exercises in order to use our knowledge and to see what’s like to be an actual engineer after you graduate from university. I think we need more opportunities to affirm ourselves as students.

It is one of the best universities in Europe. I really appreciate the fact that we also have a faculty that has English courses (FILS) and accepts students from Romania as well as from other countries.
The teachers are of high quality and help the students to appreciate the academic environment in which they belong.

The faculty I’m attending at this university is The Automatic Control and Computer Science Faculty, where I’m a fourth year student.
Overall I believe that this university taught me a lot about learning by myself, taking initiative, researching and critical thinking, but I believe it is severely lacking in the technologies that are being taught regarding the latest information available globally and about the curriculums that are used when teaching the students, a lot of them describing older technologies and experiments that are no longer used or of major benefit when trying to obtain a job or construct your future career.

The university is one of the best in Romania. The teachers have great academic backgrounds and the students have a lot of passion for it. There are some cases where there is a lack of respect between the teachers and students but overall the perks are bigger than the bad things.
