Studies at Andrei Saguna University of Constanta
Academically the university is organised into five faculties, namely: the Faculty of Economic Sciences, Faculty of Law and Administrative Sciences, Faculty of Navigation and Marine Fluvial Transportation, Faculty of Psycho-Sociology, and the Faculty of Sciences Communication and Political Sciences. Each faculty specialises in a handful of specific subject areas.
Studying abroad is an option at Andrei Saguna with the Erasmus Leonardo da Vinci programme, through which the institution maintains relationships with many other universities – allowing its students to study in and teachers to teach in locations all over Europe, as well as welcoming visiting students and teachers. This programme is dependent on the receipt of a scholarship.
In addition, Andrei Saguna University also maintains a partnership with Indiana State University through which they exchange students and teachers. It has been in place since 2001.
Research and International Connections
Since 1998 the university has been the official representative of Constanta in the area’s relationship with Shanghai – a relationship which facilitates the conducting of cultural-scientific programmes with institutions in China.
Furthermore, since 2003 the university has collaborated with Sakarya University in Turkey in order to conduct research and exchange programmes in the areas of computer science, distance learning, and economics.
As well as these international relationships, Andrei Saguna University also operates several research centres of its own, such as the “Andrei Saguna” Information and Communication Centre, the Centre for Studies and Socio-Human Surveys, and the Centre for Applied Psychology.
The Graduates’ Club at the university is in place to conduct activities in varying subject areas as well as to keep up close relationships with past and current students of the institution.
