Studying at Ovidius University

There are bachelors, masters, and doctorate degrees on offer at the university. Faculties at the institution include the Faculty of Dentistry, Faculty of Economic Sciences, Faculty of History and Political Sciences, Faculty of Pharmacy, Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Psychology and Education Sciences, Faculty of Letters, Faculty of Physical Education and Sports, Faculty of Theology, Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics, Faculty of Applied Sciences and Engineering, Faculty of Arts, Faculty of Natural and Agricultural Sciences, Faculty of Law and Administrative Sciences, Faculty of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Mechanical, Industrial and Maritime Engineering, and the Centre for Distance and Part-time Learning.

Outside of its taught courses, the university also carries out scientific research.

Students

More than 15,000 attend Ovidius University; the majority of which are undergraduate students. Around 100 foreign students undertake the Romanian language preparatory year.

Approximately 1,100 of the institution’s students are international students who come from around the world including Europe and the EU, the United States, Canada, and China. Other significant countries from which student come to study in Ovidius are Greece, Israel, Moldova, and Turkey.

Outside of their studies students may take part in student organisations such as The Association of Economics Students of “Ovidius” University.
