One of my favourite things about Cardiff University is the variety of opportunities available outside of lectures. There are plenty of societies, events and activities to get involved in, making it easy to meet new people and make friends. I also like being in the centre of Cardiff, as there are lots of shops, restaurants, cafés and things to do within walking distance of the university.
Academically, I have enjoyed being able to explore different areas of business throughout my degree. My favourite module was Advertising and Marketing Communications, as i really enjoyed learning how businesses develop marketing campaigns, understand their target audiences and communicate effectively with customers. I found the module especially engaging because it allowed me to apply what I learned to practical marketing scenarios and develop my creativity.
One thing I would improve is the consistency of communication around some university matters. At times, information about deadlines, changes or opportunities could be clearer and communicated earlier. Some facilities can also become quite busy during peak periods, particularly around exam season.
Campus life is one of the highlights of studying at Cardiff. The university has a good student atmosphere, and being so close to the city centre means there is always something to do.
