University of Minho is a Portuguese university founded in 1973. In 2012 the newspaper The Times ranked the university in the top 400 best universities in the world. Moreover, in 2017 it was considered one of the top 500 best universities to study in the world, according to the Academic Ranking of World Universities. It stands out due to its excellence in a variety of fields, such as business, science, engineering and medicine, even though it´s a recent university. Additionally, the bachelors in management and economics and the master in finance, from the School of Business and Economics are all credited internationally by the European Foundation for Management Development (EPAS).
Furthermore, it also has a research institute related to bio-sustainability.
Asides its undeniable academical merit, it also stands out for its warm and inviting academical environment, providing a pleasant integration of new students.
