The University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro (UTAD) is a modern and welcoming institution in Vila Real, known for its strong academic standards and beautiful natural campus. The Biomedical Engineering program combines technology and healthcare, offering students practical and research-based learning experiences that prepare them for innovative careers in the medical and technological fields. UTAD provides an excellent environment for both academic and personal development
View moreUTAD is very welcoming. As soon as you enter, it truly feels like a second home, which is important when you enter university. The city isn’t big enough to go somewhere without anyone recognizing you for the third time, but it’s big enough to have different people who make you feel at home. UTAD is very diverse; the university campus is enormous and very beautiful. You’ll even find horses and a lake with ducks (sometimes). Some things will seem “out of fashion,” others completely outdated, but I think that’s what makes UTAD so special. The references for the job market are incredible, and all the professors are capable of teaching how the assigned subject should be taught. Be careful with the initiation rituals if you’re going to sports.
View moreIt is a university that creates a welcoming and comfortable environment for all students, and there are several programs to be developed such as mentoring where several years have the possibility of integrating 1st year students, the integration program for erasmus/foreign students who again it highlights the idea of integration, being my favorite part of the university.
In addition, it has an incredible campus full of green spaces, which makes the university more sustainable and environmentally friendly.
In the future I will recommend the university of Trás-Os-Montes and Alto Douro to anyone who asks me for my Feedback because I believe that above all the university defends good causes that help students on a personal level.
University with a vast biodiversity. On the other hand, it leaves much to be desired in terms of infrastructure, with old buildings, and little equipped for practical classes, in some courses. One example is the communication sciences course, which, due to the lack of practical laboratories, does not allow practical classes to be held in some curricular units.
