Dealing with any bureaucratic situation usually turns into a nightmare due to weird and confuse internal process’s and not so well informed staff.

University of Coimbra is a really old institution, with some prestige acquired during all those years of existence but needs to step up a bit in terms of how it handles the non research part of the degrees. A big part of the professors doesn’t seem super intrested in givving the lectures, and that makes them boring and not very helpful.
The best about studying in Coimbra is all the dynamics that happen around the university and the students association, with lots of cultural things you can participate as a student.
