I came to the University of Warsaw with a mix of excitement and apprehension, unsure of what to expect. Now, looking back, I can honestly say it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. The past few years have been a whirlwind of growth, challenge, and pure academic joy.

What truly stood out to me was the sheer intellectual vitality of the place. The classes were not just lectures; they were lively, engaging discussions that pushed me to think critically and creatively. I’ll never forget Professor Kowalski’s history seminar, where his passion for the subject was so infectious that it made us all feel like we were discovering history for the first time. Thanks to the supportive and demanding environment, I was able to excel and even won a prestigious research grant in my final year—an achievement I’m incredibly proud of.

Campus life was vibrant and welcoming. From the historic main campus to the modern libraries, there was always a place to study, socialize, and simply be a student. The international community is massive, and I’ve made friends from all over the world, sharing cultures and creating memories that will last a lifetime.

I even managed to secure an internship through a university connection, which was a huge personal achievement and a massive step for my career! They began working with the Erasmus program the same year I studied there, so they are still getting familiar with exchange programs. However, it’s a great opportunity for anyone to learn more about Poland, especially Warsaw, at one of the country’s top universities. I wish I had learned more about the Polish language and culture beforehand; it would have helped me feel more integrated when I first arrived. Now that I know more about Poland, I’d love to have the experience again.
