I’m a graduate of the University of Wrocław. I studied geography for five years and highly recommend this program and the university. All the lecturers are very helpful, and the atmosphere at the university is great.

The University of Wroclaw is a crossroads of cultures and offers challenging exams that integrated my human perspective with an economic one, fundamental to understand why and how to implement policies in a substantial way. The courses titled Theory of International Relations and Development Economics helped me frame the place of human rights in IR theories and in foreign politics, and the economic models to empower people in different countries. In addition, lessons devoted to Globalisation and Regionalization clarified the actual status of human rights and foresee a potential trend: universalism being contested, whereas regionalism and regional systems proving to be more effective.
Being passionate about languages, I loved learning Polish. Learning a new language requires flexibility and constant practice: these skills may be a resource in everyday life and from a work perspective too.

As a current master’s student in the Communication Management program at the University of Wroclaw, I can confidently say that this journey has been one of the most enriching experiences of my life, not only academically, but also personally and professionally.

1. Global opportunities through Erasmus+:
During my time here, I’ve joined two short-term BIP exchange programs in Spain and Romania (with a generous grant), and have a one-year exchange in Germany. These experiences have allowed me to meet peers from across Europe, learn in diverse settings, and grow both culturally and intellectually.

2. Serious research, strong support:
I’m currently representing our Institute in a Monography research project of UWr, a valuable opportunity to engage deeply with academic work and collaborate with professors in a meaningful way. The opportunity is open for all students who wanna pursue an academic path.

3. Supportive and passionate faculty:
The professors are not only knowledgeable but also truly approachable. In the first semester, I approached my professor for guidance on career path, research opportunities, and expressed my interest. She shared insightful experiences, motivated and encouraged me a lot. And she nominated me for the Monography research project under her supervision, and I got the opportunity. I’m grateful, honestly.

4. Practice-oriented learning:
Unlike many programs that are heavy on theory, this one focuses on real-world projects, case studies, and group work – ideal for master’s-level students who want to build practical skills for the workplace. Actually, I don’t face much study pressure, I enjoy the courses.

5. International Office that really cares:
The International Office team is incredibly helpful. During the application process, I was surprised that they always responded to my email inquiries quickly and helped me resolve any issues. When I study here, from paperworks support to academic/exchange activities, they are always ready to assist and create a welcoming environment for students from all over the world.

6. Peaceful lifestyle & affordable living:
Wroclaw is a charming, student-friendly city with a mix of history and modernity. The cost of living is reasonable, making it accessible for many international students without compromising on quality of life. I travelled to many cities in European countries, but Wroclaw is one of the most peaceful and affordable cities. Although the English skills of the city officers are limited, they always try to support by using Google Translate or finding support people.

Studying at the University of Wroclaw has opened doors I never imagined: from international networks to research, from personal growth to professional clarity. If you’re looking for an educational experience that truly takes you beyond the classroom, this could be your next big step.

The University of Wrocław is a solid choice if you’re looking for quality education in a beautiful, affordable European city. The campus is historic and charming, especially the famous Aula Leopoldina. Some facilities are a bit outdated, but the teaching—especially in humanities and sciences—is strong.

Wrocław is a lively student city with lots to do and a welcoming vibe. The university is becoming more international, though paperwork and communication can sometimes be tricky for non-Polish speakers.

Overall, it’s a great place to study if you value culture, community, and cost-effective education.

The University of Wrocław offers solid scientific foundations and carefully prepared programs. I attended several lectures that showed the high substantive level of the lecturers. The atmosphere of the university is conducive to reflection and deep analysis of literary texts. I appreciate the rich library and access to numerous scientific sources. The university creates real opportunities for both academic and personal development.

Overall, doing Erasmus at the University of Wrocław was a calm and organized experience. The campus is not very big but it is easily accessible as it is in close proximity to the city. Some of the courses were more theoretical than I expected, I would have liked more practical content. The library was quiet and provided a good environment to study. Overall, I would say it is a suitable university for students who want to focus on their studies.

My experience at Wrocław University has been mixed. On the one hand, the academic programs are solid, but there’s a significant variation depending on the department. Some professors are dedicated and great at engaging students, while others are more focused on their research, which makes them harder to reach and less invested in teaching. The curriculum also lacks flexibility, which can be challenging if you’re balancing work or other commitments. The facilities are a bit outdated in places, especially the libraries and study areas, which are often crowded during exam periods. On the bright side, Wrocław is an amazing city to live in – affordable, full of history, and vibrant. The student community is very active, and there are plenty of opportunities to get involved in clubs, societies, and events, which really enhance the student experience.
The biggest downside is dealing with the university’s administrative side. The processes are slow, and getting the simplest tasks done can be a headache. the university is good, but it could improve in several areas to better support its students.
