The university is located in the Central-North of Poland, in the city of Toruń, the birthplace of Nicolaus Copernicus.
A well balanced city of student life, historical culture and nature, it is considered one of the most affordable places to study and live. Connected to other major or larger cities, including Bydgoszcz, Tricity, Warsaw. Poznań and Łódź and Wrocław.
It is getting a major expansion and renovation of the city area, good cultural exchange (Erasmus programs), clubs and sports to join, and other amenities for students.
Student dorms are pretty decent although old modernized 90s style buildings but close to the vicinity of universities. Renting flats is also possible although more pricey but much less chaotic than dorms.
Overall good place to study, but according to my friends, colleagues and myself it’s best for people doing Natural/Exact Science. Social Science is okay ish in my opinion and less hectic compared to the former (I was in the Economics and Management Faculty).
My program was okay but felt underwhelming as I did a BBA in the Netherlands, so almost 85% of what I studied was just a weeny bit leveled up for Masters. If you came from non-business degrees it may be interesting, though.
Nevertheless, there are some Professors and Guest lecturers that are professionals that knows what to do in their specific industry, so you can gain more insight in the Business Management realm. The have the AACSB and AMBA certifications that shows their quality. Also they fact you may get the Rector scholarship for decent money when you apply and reach certain grade of the GPA.
There was one professor that was also from the military and he was very strict but we learned a lot from him (really, seriously man). Only the most capable students have been able to choose and be resilient under his supervision for diploma dissertation and non were below par quality, a sigma Professor.
Overall a good place to study, especially for Natural Sciences and if you are doing a joint degree or student exchange program, it’s worth 5 stars.
