View moreA few years after completing my undergraduate education at Iowa State University in the United States, I applied for and was accepted to the Biotechnology MS program at UAM, to be carried out in the English language. I have found the program and the city of Poznań in general to be satisfactory, with small class sizes to allow for personalized clarifications of assignments if need be. My biggest complaint, though, is that there is some lack of organization and I have had issues communicating with the university at times, particularly during the admissions process. However, I have found that having open email correspondences with admissions faculty helps greatly in that department.

View moreI recommend studying at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan because of the good treatment I have received as an Erasmus student. It is an affordable university, close to the center, with highly qualified teachers, infrastructure and adequate equipment, which offers many facilities to learn even in times of pandemic. It seeks to encourage creativity and free scientific research in students, as well as an approach to continuous improvement. They try to create a pleasant environment for students, especially newcomers, thanks to staff in charge of guiding and helping them at all times. It is also interesting to note that most professors know how to speak English, therefore many subjects are taught in that language and can be chosen by international students, since Polish is not easy to learn.
