As a student for the Philosophy, Ethics and Religion Master’s I must say that the university surpassed by expectations by far. I first chose it because I wanted to do a Master’s on Ethics, and I am completely pleased. It goes over philosophy form the very ancient subjects to the most contemporary ones, all while having an outstanding group of professors well specialized on the discipline.
Sometimes people might say the buildings of the university are old, but I love the historic aspects of them and the fact that they are located in the center of Cracow. Although the library is part of a modern building that is partially under construction and should be finished soon.
The administrative workers and other students in the university are welcoming, warm and always there to help. The admissions department has helped me greatly and continues to help me if I have questions.
Sometimes people have reservations because the university is catholic, but the Philosophy Department is incredibly open and there are professors that have all kinds of postures and are well open minded.
The one downside I would point out is that the university’s website might feel cumbersome and can have out-of-date information at times. But if one reaches out for clarification one will have an answer in a short period of time.
I spent here 5 years as a journalism student and I certainly do not regret it. Professionalism, nice atmosphere, kind lecturers, all in the heart of Krakow. It was worth it! I sincerely recommend this university!
