I like this institution so much, i’ve head from others (mostly international students) that they are disappointed in the lack of English speaking teachers, what do you expect when you come to a country that it’s primary language is polish? you had to have expected it at some point yeah?. It’s a really great place to learn Nursing if you’re still looking
View moreI like it at VPU but the fact that some of the teachers cannot speak fluent English is challenging and when we have our practicals as nursing students it is hard because a few nurses do not want the international students to touch their patients however the school has very good facilities as well as high technology. The school also had offices for international students where we can go with our grievances and get help. Overall I would recommend the school.
View moreThe University has one of the best lecturers for the programme, highly motivated and knowledgeable. Practice facilities are the highlight of the programme there are world-class and give a realistic feel of what one will be exposed to after completing the programme.
The offered modules are well structured, but the workload becomes a bit overwhelming at some point. A 12 hour day packed with lectures is extremely exhausting. The University Infrastructure needs a lot of work, more classes are needed including student discussion facilities. A 24-hour library would also offer students an edge. There’s a need for proper student representation to be able to facilitate student and university communication. It’s important to state that the university has some construction that is underway but we as students have no idea what is being contracted.
In Conclusion, the programme is structured well, with a professional academic team and the practical work offered is world-class. Naturally, there are a few items that there’s a need improvement, but these don’t affect the quality of education offered, with little effort and elbow grease I believe I will come out a world-class nurse respected by my peers.
View moreStudying at VPU is an amazing experience and their international programme truly is changing lives. The teachers go out of their way to teach us in English and dedicate their time to helping us succeed. I do not like the fact that there are way more students than normal, which overcrowds the premises and affects our schedules as we have to begin coming in during the weekends and later in the evening. Students from places like Africa and India came to Poland not only to study but better their lives overall and work. VPU has a great load on their hands but they are clearly struggling with helping us and being accommodative. We can’t apply for work as our schedules are very tight and although the pressure is clearly overwhelming, even for the staff, we are overworked and the expectations we have to meet are still unrealistic.
View moreAs a foreign student, I was really surprised with how nursing is laid out as a program. The depth each module goes into. I expected to learn a little bit of first aid and then practicals in the hospitals and that’s it. The learning process is very thorough. No stone left unturned, there’s a lot of modules I didn’t even know about that will help if you decide to specialize. I appreciate the stimulation centre, it better prepares you for the outside world. Sometimes the pressure can be too much though. The classes on weekends, the short summer break because of exams in this specific program… there’s barely any time off. I recommend it to anyone who is willing to be focused on school 100% because really there won’t be time for anything else. And you have to be willing to sacrifice a couple of weekends
