The university is not that big when it comes to location . It is located in a highway. It caters lots of courses aside from medicine. When it comes to the program , it has a complete program for medical students . The professors are high yield.
I like that the university is near lots of restaurants and cafes which are accessible to the students during breaks . There are dorms located near the university . The classrooms are air conditioned . It has an elevator which is convenient for students , professors and staff of the campus since the building has many floors. There are also tailoring shops near the campus where students can buy their uniforms , coats or scrub suits . There are also virtual labs where demonstrations of scenarios in the hospitals can be done like doing intubations, IV insertions , catheter insertions and many more in dummy patients. I like this part since you get to experience a little bit of what to do in the hospitals . The medicine program also had BLS and ACLS courses for 3rd year medical students before they start their internship in their chosen hospitals which I find it a good strategy .
What I don’t like about the campus is the flooding . When it rains , it pours . Like UST, OLFU is known for its flooding in front of the campus . The flood can reach knee deep at times which makes commuting of students hard to and from the university . Students tend to be stranded when this happen . The good thing is that the flooding subsides after 30 minutes. Sometimes , the aircorn in the classrooms are not working that makes the students uncomfortable.
I would recommend the university to aspiring medical students because of its course and how hands on the medicine course on its students.
