I didn’t come in with unrealistic expectations or anything but what I experienced was still shocking. Don’t believe their fake AI generated replies they leave on reviews on google or anywhere. I’ve dealt with their support myself as a former student and it’s obvious no one there understands proper English. Every response feels like copy paste nonsense written just to shut you up.
The study material is laughably outdated. I’m talking early 2000s outdated. As someone who has a business and does a lot of freelancing, I see what modern teams and a lot of companies actually use, this curriculum is embarrassing. While the rest of the world teaches python, modern tools, real world business applications, VU is stuck and teaches you obsolete concepts that are super irrelevant today.
When I showed this material to people I work with internationally, they literally laughed. Not at me but at how backward and pathetic the system still is in Pakistan.
The handouts are awful and its painfully obvious they weren’t written for Pakistani students at all. You can literally tell from the wording, examples and tone that the target audience is European and North American (US Canada etc). Its just copied material from foreign textbooks, badly edited and very poorly adapted. When they try to change things to make it sound “Pakistani”, the grammar falls apart lol, which makes it even more embarrassing. Clearly no one competent wrote or reviewed this.
The LMS is just as bad. In 2026, lectures are still dumped on YouTube like some random coaching center. The website crashes randomly and I’ve personally seen error messages in Chinese, which tells you how cheap and outsourced the whole thing is.
Its as bad as any government website in lumber 1 Pakistan. Especially if you’re waiting for results coz good luck. The moment traffic increases, their systems panic and crash.
Assignment and GDB checking are also super bad. Grades feel random and sometimes mood-based, feedback from their “qualified professors” also never makes sense. They also ask students to upload screenshots as “proof” of completed work at times because the university doesn’t even have basic systems to track assignments. Imagine paying tuition to an institution that runs on screenshots lol.
Honestly if you just want a piece of paper instead of actually learning something, go for it. This place is made exactly for people like you.
Outdated material, incompetent staff, broken systems, zero accountability. Based on my own experience I wouldn’t recommend Virtual University of Pakistan to anyone who values their time, money or future.

I’ve had an extremely disappointing experience. There is no proper digital communication system between students and the administration. Although platforms like the VU support system exist, they have never been of any real help. I’ve submitted six tickets that have been pending for over a month, and the course selection deadline has already passed. They don’t answer calls either I’ve tried at least 200 times since my enrollment and never received a response

Many students become demotivated because of phrases like “AI would replace everything,” especially among CS students. They should be guided on how to use it properly, rather than being told not to use it or only to use it.

The programme is well-structured, flexible, and affordable, making it ideal for self-motivated learners. While the LMS can improve and more practical exposure is needed, overall it provides strong academic value.

As per my requirement I was in need of online study programme so that I may continue my study along with my job. I was a bit confused initially that what would be the criteria but everything was well organized and easily accessible. Their teachers and the support system was highly efficient .Mechanism for quizzes.assignments and papers was incredible everything so beautifully streamlined.

In my opinion, I’d say Elearning is convenient for students. I mean, you can study from anywhere around the world and get the eligible and higher study degree. Which can help us to work for overseas and make a career.

The Virtual University of Pakistan offers a great platform for distance learning, especially for students who want flexibility in their schedule. The recorded video lectures are clear and helpful, and the LMS system is user-friendly. I like that I can manage my study time from home. However, live interaction with teachers is limited, which can be a challenge when you need quick clarification. Overall, I would recommend it to students who are self-motivated and looking for affordable online education.

The BSCS program at Virtual University has provided me with a solid foundation in computer science. The flexibility of online learning is perfect for managing studies alongside other responsibilities. The course content is up-to-date, and video lectures are well-explained by experienced instructors. The LMS is reliable for accessing materials, submitting assignments, and tracking progress. However, the lack of live interaction or group projects sometimes makes the experience feel isolated. Overall, it’s a great program for self-disciplined students who prefer an affordable and flexible way to earn a CS degree.

I am genuinely impressed by the exceptional academic experience at Virtual University. The faculty here is not only knowledgeable but also passionate and dedicated to helping students succeed. They go above and beyond to make learning engaging and impactful, often incorporating real-world examples and hands-on projects into the curriculum.

Its a good university all online work handled on LMS all activities but have to go to campus for exams and quizzez assignments and GDB’s are handled on LMS all good. Overall it is a big step towards modern study methods.
