I attended the Politics and International Relations programme from 2008 to 2012. While the university offers a beautiful campus, an international student body, and excellent library facilities, my experience within the department was a mix of significant challenges and a few standout academic mentors.
For the first five semesters, the leadership under Madam Nasreen Akhtar and the instruction from Madam Nasreen Akhtar felt uninspired and lacked professional passion. However, the department was truly held together by Miss Sana, the coordinator, whose dedication to both students and staff was invaluable. I am also deeply grateful for Sir Arshad Abassi and Dr Fatima Noor; their arrival and expertise finally provided the intellectual depth and real-world impact that the subject deserves. While the university as a whole is impressive, the department’s internal quality during my time did not always live up to that standard.
