My experience at Bournemouth University has been really positive overall. As a Marketing student, I’ve enjoyed being able to learn about different areas of marketing and then actually apply what I’ve learnt through assignments, group projects and real-world examples. I think this has made the course more interesting and has helped me figure out which areas of marketing I’m most interested in for the future.
One of my favourite parts of my university experience has also been working as a Student Ambassador. I’ve had the opportunity to speak to prospective students and their families, give campus tours and share my own experiences of university. I really enjoy being able to help students who might be nervous or unsure about university, especially because I know how overwhelming making that decision can feel.
I also really like Bournemouth as a student town. There’s a good balance between university life and having things to do outside of studying, and I’ve met people from lots of different backgrounds during my time here.
If I could improve one thing, I would like to see even more opportunities for students to gain industry experience alongside their studies, particularly for those who don’t complete a placement year. Overall, though, Bournemouth has helped me grow in confidence, become more independent and develop skills that I know I’ll use after graduating.
I would recommend this university to perspective students looking to do any marketing related courses because you do honestly get the best lecturers and opportunties most universities do not have
