My time in this programme was a good mix of learning and personal growth. The lecturers were helpful, and I enjoyed some really engaging classes. What I liked most was the community, you get to meet people who make the journey easier.

On the downside, the admin side can be a bit slow and I wish there were more practical sessions. Still, graduating from here feels rewarding, and I’d recommend it to anyone willing to put in the effort.

I am a student in the University of Uyo,

I am in my final year in Department of Science Education in Chemistry unit.
It’s been a whole different feeling studying in the University of Uyo,Uyo.
The Studying environment is Clean, there are rules governing the school which makes it a very disciplined University.

The University is growing gradually,I solely believe that in a few years to come, they’d be a constant power supply as the Installation of Solar panels is currently ongoing on the proposed site and the availability of good studying equipments which will give the students more exposure to performing more practical works in their course of study.

In the University of Uyo, as a student, you are expected to take your studies seriously as failure to do so will result in low grades which will have a massive influence on your CGPA(Cumulative Grade Point Average).
To merit a first class or second class upper division,you have to attend lectures promptly,study your study materials weeks before the examination day to have a better understanding of what you’ll be writing on the exams day.
Studying, Understanding and knowing what to write will help you avoid repeating a course or having an extra year.

Do not let peer pressure be a distraction to you.
You’re in school to study and acquire knowledge not to impress.
Master Contentment, with this you will stay focused and get to achieve your desired goal.

Lastly,the earlier the better is a very important phrase for a Student.Do everything timely to avoid delays and extra expenses.
The Information you get most be accurate because as a student an Information can either lead or mislead you.

One of the most notable aspects of UNIUYO is its strategic location. The university has four campuses strategically positioned for proximity and accessibility, making it convenient for students from various parts of the state and beyond. Another positive aspect of UNIUYO is its affordable tuition fees. Compared to many other universities in Nigeria, UNIUYO’s fees are relatively reasonable, making it accessible to a wider range of students. This affordability is particularly beneficial for those from lower-income families who may struggle to afford higher education costs.

While my overall experience at UNIUYO was positive, I encountered some challenges. One of the most significant issues was the frequent strike actions by the academic staff. These strikes led to disruptions in the academic calendar, resulting in extended study periods and increased stress for students. It is worth noting that this issue is not unique to UNIUYO but is a common challenge faced by many universities in Nigeria.

Despite the challenges, I would still recommend UNIUYO to prospective students. The university’s strategic location, affordable fees, and the quality of education offered make it a worthwhile choice. However, it is important to be aware of the potential disruptions caused by strikes and to be prepared to adapt to such challenges.

University of Uyo is a great citadel of learning. I love the serene environment and the on campus security ensuring the safety of every students. My four years experience on campus has been fun, educating and thrilling. Specifically, I enjoy the schools 24 hours power supply and water supply during my stay in the hostel.

This university is the best…I like their teachings, they are equipped with good learning facilities couple with a serene environment and experience lecturers..

They have won a lot of prizes and I must say that they are really good.

This university is indeed a citadel of learning. The lectures are rich in both theory and practical.
Lecturers are always ready to teach and they are approachable.
But, just like every other university or school there’s a lot stress. From finding venues to classes etc.
