Graduating from the Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO) has been a transformative experience for me. The university provided a robust academic environment that encouraged creativity and innovation. The quality of education I received, coupled with hands-on training and research opportunities, has prepared me well for my career.

The professors were not only knowledgeable but also genuinely invested in students’ success, fostering a supportive community. Additionally, the vibrant campus life and diverse student body enriched my experience, allowing me to build lasting friendships and networks. Overall, FUTO has equipped me with the skills and confidence to excel in my field, and I am grateful for the solid foundation it has given me.

The federal University of technology owerri Nigeria is one of the best universities in Nigeria in terms of quality of education and opportunities provided for its students. It is difficult to get into and sets a quite rigorous result oriented pace which drives most students to give their all . It is quite unfortunate however,that such prestige is marred by the poor environment and poor security in the school. There grounds are over run with bushes , cow shit and trash heaps. Security is nothing to write home about, possibly because your writing utensils were stolen from you. Robberies, kidnappings and Petty acts of stealing are all too rampant in the school environment and the security operatives seem ill equiped to protect the students.
Even with the numerous challenges facing us, FUTO students continue to struggle and strife for excellence.

I love the way lecturers are dedicated
I wish the infrastructures will be improved
I love the disciplinary measures
I hope Moore investigations will be conducted before disciplining a student

FUTO is a well-respected institution focused on technology and innovation. It offered me a strong academic foundation in [your field], along with practical experience in labs and real-world projects. The environment pushed me to be resourceful, work well in teams, and manage time effectively. These experiences have prepared me for professional challenges and made me confident in my ability to contribute effectively in any work setting.

Studying Biochemistry at the Federal University of Technology Owerri (FUTO) was both challenging and enriching. The programme is well-structured with a good balance between theory and practicals. I particularly appreciated the dedication of some lecturers who made complex topics easier to grasp and were always ready to support students academically.

The laboratory facilities, though sometimes lacking in certain reagents and equipment, provided a decent environment for practical learning. Campus life was vibrant, with various student activities and organizations to engage in outside academics. However, delays in the academic calendar due to strikes and infrastructural challenges were a downside.

Despite these setbacks, I would recommend FUTO to anyone passionate about Biochemistry. The programme builds a strong foundation and opens opportunities for further research or a career in the sciences.

The overall opinion I have about, the university I graduated from is the intensity in the academic work. What I mean by this is, at every point there was always something to do, the resting time was minimal, when you have to consider practicals and assignments plus notes.
One thing I didn’t really like was that, we did more of theoretical work and less of practical work.
One thing I genuinely liked was the harmony between the lecturers and the students, especially in my department of study.

It’s a nice university,but as a technology school it is really lacking,students do less of practicals and more of theory and the lecturers use old syllables to teach. Lecturers feel like mini god’s and do not give space for student’s creativity

I love the the entire management team asides from the fact that their medical team are more of less available when it comes to attending to patients.

Asides that, their academic performance is top notch.

I thought university life was fun till I got admitted into this school. We get bombarded with schoolwork and assignments, with little/less time being allocated for the submission of said assignments and schoolwork. It’s really just tedious work in this school, coupled with bad infrastructures and unsophisticated management.

Federal University of Technology, Owerri is an institution I am proud to have attended. The student dormitories are renovated occasionally to enable the students comfort. Sadly, sometimes there was no water for the students to use. That happened rarely though.
