I like the school calendar but I dislike the curriculum in giving standard learning for winning in the world and society but I appreciate the little the offer.

In this reflection, I would like to share what I truly appreciated about the university as well as areas where I felt there could be improvement.

As a student in the English department at Nasarawa State University keffi, I’ve had a mixed experience. On the plus side, the faculty members are knowledgeable and passionate about their subjects. They’ve helped me develop a deeper understanding of literature and improved my critical thinking skills.
The department’s emphasis on research and analysis has been invaluable, and I’ve enjoyed exploring various literary periods and genres. The lecturers are approachable most especially Dr Shehu Ibrahim Ahmed, and I’ve appreciated their guidance and feedback on my assignments.
However, there are areas for improvement. Sometimes, the course materials and readings feel outdated, and I’d love to see more contemporary texts and perspectives included. Additionally, the department could benefit from more extracurricular activities, such as writing workshops or literary events, to foster a sense of community among students.
