Glion Institute of Higher Education - GIHE (reviews)

I enrolled at Glion with high expectations because of its strong reputation and QS ranking, expecting a demanding academic environment, high-quality teaching, and a campus experience that reflected the standards promoted by the school.

Unfortunately, my experience at the London campus was very disappointing. Lecturers were removed from the programme at short notice without adequate replacement, and some replacement lecturers appeared poorly prepared for the subjects they were teaching. The actual net teaching time was also significantly lower than what had originally been presented and scheduled.

Campus life was equally disappointing. The facilities felt outdated, poorly maintained, disorganised, and at times unclean. One of the most difficult aspects was the lack of proper ventilation or air conditioning, with classroom temperatures exceeding 33°C during parts of the summer.

Overall, the academic quality, organisation, and campus conditions did not match what had been advertised or what I expected from an institution with Glion’s reputation. In my personal experience, the programme did not offer value for the money.

Glion University is renowned for excellence in hospitality education, combining Swiss academic rigor with hands-on experience, global campuses, and strong industry ties that launch successful careers.!

I had an amazing experience studying in Glion. The academical part was something that inspired me to move on with hospitality industry in my career. Most of the teachers were very responsive, helpful and enlightened by their job.
The campus, food, dorms and classrooms were up to standards. I also really liked the community i was around. Multicultural students with lots of experience and passion about what they are about to learn!
Also, the activities proposed by institution are very versatile. You can never get bored during the weekend and can always find something fun to do during week days, such as gym, sport games, art visits, social activities for uni and trips around Switzerland.

What I can highlight about the negative part of the experience is that prices were going up every semester. We had to pay for very banal things, usually institutions like this count all in one price, like this you don’t have to pay for every small thing.

Other than that, I highly recommend my university if you are about to study hospitality industry!

Glion delivers a great and dynamic program with professors who have a solid professional experience. The field trips during the year delivers great insights about a metropolis hospitality market as London.
The assessment system allows to develop work autonomy, academic research and analysis skills.
The campus has a chill atmosphere with equipped classroom.

For a such expensive school, the committees has ridiculous budget and the student life is poor, I was expecting so much more from this part.
I feel like the master does not worth that much, the administration lack of communication, organisation and clarity.

Overall, Glion master program is an efficient way to reach out fast the professional world with great skills, providing a network of quality.
There is Two semester and a 6 months internship.
